Celebrate International Women’s Day “EachforEqual”  Through Art 2020

Opening Celebration IWD Sunday 8th March from 2 pm all welcome.

Macleay Valley Community Art gallery chooses to celebrate the positives for International Women’s Day by holding an art exhibition highlighting how talented women are and encourage women to participate and follow their dreams.
The exhibition is non - competitive and is open to all women artists in the Mid North Coast region. Artists can use any medium eg painting, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, wood work, metal work, photography, quilting or floral art.

This is an opportunity for women to exhibit their art work in a gallery; to meet other female artists and to discuss their experience; to get feedback from their peers and to encourage and promote art making by women. The Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery is a community run gallery open to all artists to hire for exhibitions.
This year “The race is on for the gender equal boardroom, a gender equal government, gender equal media coverage, gender equal workplaces, gender equal sports coverage, more gender equality in health and wealth ... so let's make it happen. Let's be #EachforEqual.”

So why not join us at the Opening Celebration on Sunday the 8th March from 2 pm.All are welcome and entry to the gallery is free. “The positive energy, fun and comradery of this event is a delight as women, friends and community members join to share each other’s artistic talents.” The catering will be provided by the generosity of the Macleay Valley Business Women’s Network.
For the minimal cost of $10.00 you can enter two art pieces.  Entry fees will be donated to the Samaritans to aid in their support for women and children suffering domestic violence.
