This is my 5th solo exhibition at the Gladstone gallery. The concept for the exhibition was born out of very early morning contemplation on my verandah, the birth of a new day as the mists rose. While watching the mists clear a new thought arose and it was this: There a deep pervading peace at the core of all things. It shouts to us in silence and is constant. This thought initiated a personal epiphany and has been a guiding light in my work since.
The works in this exhibition explores and responds to a vision of underlying peace, rather than representing scenes or subject matter. The works are predominantly water colours and oils with an emphasis on strong vibrant colour and translucency.
