The Artists of Wallamba are a multi-disciplined group, delighted to present a diverse and exciting 2D and 3D exhibition. Their theme ‘From Beyond the Mask’ explores many aspects of life during the past year. Each artist investigates, via his or her media, the impact on life and identity as Covid-19 restrictions ease and we begin to move forward. For many, the world has grown smaller or more limited. Some experienced great loneliness during lockdown times and an ongoing sense of insecurity in a world that has changed so much. Others long for the chance to travel again and reconnect with long-distance family and friends. But certainly this past year has also provided an opportunity for reconnection to a simpler lifestyle, to nature, creativity, family time, the garden, healthy food and most importantly, to ourselves and each other. Artworks include sculpture, weaving, installation, painting, drawing, resin, photography, textile art, ceramics and upcycled Pieces.
