Jenny's work reflects a lifelong love of textiles, nowadays nearly always gravitating towards Japanese fabrics, style and techniques. Her work encompasses iconic Japanese motifs such as ginko leaves, cranes, bamboo, cherry blossoms, fans and Torii gates. She uses Japanese techniques such as "Sashiko" and "Boro"stitching, "Kogin" embroidery and "Shibori" dyeing, along with Applique, Meshwork and Quilting. Jenny has lately enjoyed including recycled fabrics from Kimonos and Obis from Japan in her pieces.

She finds Japanese fabrics so beautiful in texture and design that they provide an inspirational starting point for her decorative and functional creations.
