COVID-19 Safety Plan
Museums and Galleries
For the wellbeing of volunteers and visitors the following conditions need to be complied with by all artists, volunteers and visitors.
1. Exclude artists, volunteers and visitors who are unwell.
2. Provide staff and volunteers with information and training on COVID-19, including when to get tested, physical distancing and cleaning.
3. Display conditions of entry (website, social media, venue entry). COVID-19 Safety Plan – Museums and galleries REQUIREMENTS/ACTION
4. Physical distancing 1.5 metres. Capacity must not exceed one Person per 4 square metres. Volunteers to monitor.
a. Foyer = 5 people
b. Front gallery room = 10 people
c. Back gallery room = 8 people
5. Signage at entrances to communicate the maximum safe capacity, and display signage with line at 1.5 meters and arrows to direct the flow of visitors.
6. Move or remove tables and seating as required to comply with the requirements for 1.5 metres of physical distance. Remove foyer seating.
7. Registration for Contact Tracing.
Services NSW QR Code on mobile phone should be used to register where ever possible, if you do not have a mobile phone please record name and phone number or email for each visitor on the confidential registration form or use the gallery tablet which is required by Health Department. Records are held for 28 days then destroyed.
8. No tours or openings allowed during Covid. No food to be served.
9. Reduce crowding wherever possible and promote physical distancing, for example with markers on the floor, eg at front desk. Where reasonably practical, ensure staff always maintains 1.5 metres physical distance (including at meal breaks).
10.Use telephone or video for essential meetings where practical.
11. Contactless delivery and invoicing where practical. eg EFTPOS rather than cash.
12.Volunteers, Artists and Visitors to wear masks at all times.

Daily Procedures for Volunteers and/or Artists
1. Sanitise hands before Opening
2. Wear disposable gloves to wipe surfaces with sanitiser, disinfectant or sanitiser wipes.
Foyer-door handles and rails,
Gallery 1 & 2 - desk, eftpos machine after each use, alarm keypad, cash box, light switches,
Kitchen - fridge door handle, sink taps, jug handle,
wipe aircon keypad,
Disabled Toilet - spray toilet seat and basin taps with disinfectant. (See storeroom for cleaning kit.)
Sanitise used pens
3. Clean desk and wipe over EFTPOS machine. Wipe EFTPOS machine after each use and sanitise your hands.
4. Place hand sanitiser on plinth just inside gallery door. Encourage visitors to sanitise as they register for contact tracing.

6. Leave back gallery door and kitchen door open at all times to increase ventilation. (Air conditioning may be on at the same time.)

2. Beside EFTPOS machine placed at front of desk
3. 2nd gallery room on plinth
4. Kitchen near sink
5. Disabled Toilet for volunteers, artists and staff only. Male and female toilets are closed.
8. Monitor gallery numbers. 1 person per 4 square metres.
a. Foyer = 5 people

9. Sanitise hands at end of day after locking everything.
