Let’s Celebrate International Women’s Day Through Art

OPENING CELEBRATION-Sunday the 8th March from 2pm for beautiful art, music, company, drinks and nibbles at our vibrant little gallery MVCAG, 5 Kinchela Street , Gladstone, NSW. All are welcome and entry to the gallery is free.

The Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery is once again holding an IWD art exhibition for women and we would love you all to be a part of it. The theme this year is “When we give, we gain.” “Together, let's help forge gender equality through abundant giving. The IWD 2026 Give To Gain Campaign encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration. Give To Gain emphasizes the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise. Whether through donations, knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy, education, training, mentoring, or time, contributing to women's advancement helps create a more supportive and interconnected world. The exhibition is non-competitive and is open to all women artists in the Mid North Coast region.

Artists can use any artistic medium e.g. wood, ceramics, fibre, painting, jewellery etc

This is an opportunity for women to exhibit their artwork in a gallery; to meet other artists and to discuss their experience; to get feedback from their peers and to encourage and promote art making by women. The Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery is a community run gallery open to all artists to hire for exhibitions.
